Level UP! Summer Program Option 1:

Enriched School Readiness Program

6-week commitment:
July 8 - August 23
School Break from August 5 - 9

Highlights

  • Resembles our regular Sept-June Program
  • 6-week commitment
  • Select 2, 3, or 5 days per week
  • Lesson plans are cumulative and build upon the previous week (late starts are accepted based on availability – we will catch them up)

Admission Requirement:

    • Child must be toilet trained
    • Designed for children entering Kindergarten, Grade 1, or have already completed our Scholars Program.
    • If your child does not meet any of the above criteria, an assessment will be required prior to acceptance.

Week 1: July 8-12: Little Scientists
Week 2: July 15-19: Earth Rangers
Week 3: July 22-26: Prehistoric Adventures
Week 4: July 29-August 2: Bug Life
Week 5: August 12-16: Around the World
Week 6: August 19-23: Under the Sea

Ultimate Flexibility… You can select one or more weeks during the summer and each week can be a different location,  different schedule (MWF, TTH, or Mon-Fri), and/or a different time  (AM or PM) .

Admission Requirement:

    • ages 3-5
    • 3 years old by Program start date

 

Animal Explorers

Not Available for Summer 2023

Students will spend the week learning everything about animals! We will be going on a safari to explore the jungle, take a trip to the arctic, and even explore closer to home and discover farm life!

By the end of the week your child will become a certified animal expert by making animal themed crafts and playing lots of indoor and outdoor animal themed games.

Little Scientists

July 8th–12th

Your child will be able touch, see, hear, smell and taste what science is really all about! We use simple, real world science techniques to create some messy, oozing experiments and explosions!

A daily combination of in-class discovery and exploration, outdoor games and physical activities, and hands-on applications of the scientific principles presented.

Earth Rangers

July 15th–19th

The planet is in trouble and our students must become Earth Rangers to save it! This interactive week will have student’s complete missions in order to become certified Earth Rangers!

To become an Earth Ranger, students must take a look at the different ways to keep our planet healthy by learning about the overall ecosystem and the importance of plants, trees, insects, and animals. Is your child ready to save the world?

Prehistoric Adventures

July 22nd–26th

Students will spend the week travelling back in time to learn all about dinosaurs – and beyond!

They’ll participate in fun and exciting interactive games, create crafts, uncover fossils and learn all about the era!

Academic themes and concepts will be embedded into each craft and activity promoting numeracy, literacy, and inquiry.

Bug Life

July 29th–August 2nd

This week will be filled with hands-on discovery! We will meet some creepy crawlies up-close and personal and learn how they live.

We will be getting buggy while learning about insect life cycles and creating some ooey-gooey art projects!

Around the World

August 12th–16th

Students will become World Explorers in search of different people and places; their culture and their way of life. Students will earn stamps in their passports in order to become certified World Explorers!

This week will help to broaden your child’s view of the world. We will expand their horizons beyond the map they know.

Under the Sea

August 19th–23rd

Students will be immersed in all things aquatic! We will dive to the depths exploring all the creatures we meet along the way.

Students will be engaged fun indoor and outdoor ocean themed activities, crafts, and science experiments. Your child will become a certified ocean expert!

Description

  • Select 2, 3, or 5 days per week
  • We will prepare them for the upcoming school year for PreK, Kindergarten, or Grade 1, plus they will be having a blast! 
  • Lesson plans are cumulative and build upon the previous week (late starts are accepted based on availability – we will catch them up)
  • You can rest assured that your children will be learning skills in the areas of social awareness, phonemic awareness, phonics, literacy, and numeracy. We will prepare them for the upcoming school year, plus they will be having a blast!
  • Students will still participate in the same weekly themed centre activities from the other program during centre time!
  • Teachers will lead students in a variety of activities to help build mastery.  Students will work on recognizing and writing their name, identifying alphabet letter and their sounds, recognizing colours, reading colour words, reading and writing words/sentences, identifying number to 10 and beyond, counting to 10 and above, recognizing and preproducing shapes, working on socialization skills and collaborating with peers, creating arts and crafts, and so much more!
 
 
Program Fees & Schedule

Registration/Supply Fee – $100

  • Due at the time of registration, covers cost of supplies, materials, and registration

Timing:

  • AM or PM (9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm)
  • Pickup/Drop-off – up to 10 minutes before and after class time

Schedule & Fees:

  • 6 weeks in the summer excluding the weeks of the July and August long weekends

Monday to Friday (5 days/week)

  • $1040 total for the 6 weeks
  • $790 total if approved for additional subsidy (Receive $250 back at the end of the program*) 
  • $520 due at the time of registration and another $520 due by June 15th 

Mon/Wed/Fri (3 days/week)

  • $580 total for the 6 weeks
  • $330 total if approved for additional subsidy (Receive $250 back at the end of the program*) 
  • $290 due at the time of registration and another $290 due by June 15th 

Tue/Thu (2 days/week)

  • $380 total for the 6 weeks
  • $130 total if approved for additional subsidy (Receive $250 back at the end of the program*) 
  • $190 due at the time of registration and another $190 due by June 15th

*Please note that subsidy payments are received after attendance in the program has been reported to the Government

Cancellation Policy

No refunds after payments have been processed, but changes to your schedule are permitted up to 5 business days before the session start date at no additional cost based on availability.

  • Flexibility… Select one or more weeks during the summer
  • Mad Scientists, Earth Rangers, Prehistoric Adventures, Animal Explorers, Around the World, Bug Life, Under the Sea

  • Select 2, 3, or 5 days per week for each session (can be different each week)
  • Each session has it’s own lesson plans and unique theme to go along with them (see below for weekly themes)
  • Lesson plans are not cumulative and do not build on the previous week

  • Multiple session discount on this fee applies If enrolling in multiple sessions at once:
    • 2nd session: 10%
    • 3rd session: 20%
    • 4th session: 30%
    • 5th session: 40%
    • 6th+ session: 50%

*cannot be combined with other discounts
